Claudio Marzano is a curator of contemporary art / design / music and an art consultant at the Canada Council Art Bank.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Manchester, for which he wrote a thesis exploring the Fair Use provision of art copyright law in the digital age.

He was assistant curator / technical director for the 2007 Montreal Biennale, assistant curator for the Urban Play exhibition part of the 2008 Experimenta Design Biennale in Amsterdam and co-curated the Soundscapes remix project.

In 2007 he served as a technical advisor of multimedia installations for the Mois de la Photo à Montréal, and was a consultant in the selection of artists for the Street Art at Tate Modern / Nissan Qashqai Challenge exhibition held in London.

His own work in mixed media illustration has been featured in print and digital publications including Snap! Magazine, Pound Magazine, on coolhunting.com and in Bully: It’s The Pits, as well as on products and promotional media for clients such as Public Transit Recordings and The Goods at Sala Rossa.

As a dedicated music collector and DJ, he has produced and released several compilations and remixes.

He currently lives in Ottawa, Canada.
